is Sin give disease !?

Salvatore Walls: I wont say that sin gives diseases because for example if i ask my kid nephew to go to the grocery to buy soy sauce and he returned with it. after a few hours he was rushed to the hospital infected with dengue fever, so whats his sin?other diseases can be either sin or human neglect like heart ang lung diseases, you already know that there are things bad for your health but you neglect it. so its not really all sin...Show more

Marco Stolarz: Everytime I sin. I swear God gives me a rash.

Joey Mekeel: Not directly, but indirectly yes. Aids can be transmitted like STDs, so you have premarital sex and contract it, it is an indirect effect of sin.

Rashad Marecki: Sinning carelessly might give you anything. Just protect yourself and sin less.

Elli Esaw: It is difficult to read the B.S. of many of the posters here. J.L. at least shows intelligence, the others would seem to be saying that disease is a direct result of sin! B.S.Let's take ! the example of Hep C (HCV) and follow it a short way.In the 60's the government sent thousands of our servicemen to Vietnam to fight a war "against communism" and innoculated them with all kinds of stuff to protect them. The problem is that the air actuated shots that were used were not cleaned as they should have been. Result? According to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs more than 85% of those who served in the military during the 60's to early 70's are infected with HCV. Were they sinners? Or did they believe the government and serve their country?Until the early 90's the test used to detect HCV wasn't a test for HCV at all! It was a test for elevated AST & ALT enzymes which are produced by the liver as it fights to protect itself. There are people with longterm cases of HCV that were not diagnosed simply because the disease did not advance enough in them to cause the production of these enzymes. Some of these people donated blood to help save an accident victim, etc. Were ! they sinners? How about the accident victims who recieved the ! blood? What was their sin? People also recieved HCV tainted transplants! Where is the sin in giving the gift of life? Or, for that matter, in accepting the gift of life? There are always those who will say that disease is sent as a punishment for sin, I will not believe that my GOD is as narrow minded as they are. Sin will obviously put one on a path where there are more physical and moral threats to one's life. But to claim that GOD would kill so many of the innocent and tar them with same brush as the worst sinner, by inflicting any disease that can vector out into society at large is ridiculous. Do they think so little of GOD's abilities that they think he could not inflict his judgement on only those he sought to punish? It is an imperfect world, filled with imperfect people, and that is the sum of it....Show more
