Margy Sandquist: I'm not sure where you live but check your area for a "Wome! n’s Automotive Basic Maintenance Class". I took one a few ye! ars ago, and it's proven very helpful. Running to a mechanic every single time your car does something out of the ordinary doesn't always mean dropping $100 to be told its your oil or something completely stupid. In the tenth grade we rebuilt 6 cylinder engines along with learning how other parts of the car work.You can get books from the library that show everything, from basic to advanced auto repair.Community colleges often have classes in auto repair and mechanics, as well as bodyshop and upholstery.
