That may not be completely accurate, but I since you mention you added her to keep the peace in the family, I suppose he must have agreed or possibly have been the one to ask you to include her. Meaning, you can simply say:Bridesmaid: Jane DoeBut if you want to list the relationship (friend ! of the bride, etc.), what is wrong with saying "friend of the bride/groom"?
