How to make school more entertaining?

Ninfa Asby: Reduce the student-teacher ratio.Pay teachers a decent wage so that you will get better quality teachers.Get parents more involved with teaching.The problem is that learning anything is painful. Most students don't realize that the sense of accomplishment after the pain is over is way more than the pain of learning. This means they need to have the discipline to work through the pain stage and need to be rewarded (this doesn't mean monetarily) when they achieve something. Salvatore Walls: @Arezoo Roya: I think i my word choice wasn't really appropriate. I meant "interesting" instead of "entertaining". And yes,! students go to school to learn and not to have fun, but the best way to make students learn (and to make them WANT to learn also) is to explain things in a way that keeps them interested. I'm basically saying this because i have a problem with those teachers who think all they have to do is stand there, reading what's written in the textbooks, get paid and go home (and then they wonder why their students fall asleep during their lessons)....Show more
